Women’s Health & Family Services Body Esteem Program (bep)

The Body Esteem Program® is a service which offers support for women suffering from eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. The program supports and assists women to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing and to make and sustain positive change through a 20-week recovery focused group based on the self-help model. The program is for women 18 years and over and is delivered in a central location to allow women from across the metropolitan area to participate.

Helping Minds (Formerly Arafmi)

HelpingMinds (formerly Arafmi) is the pre-eminent mental health services and carer support organisation, that was established nearly 40 years ago as a not for profit charity in Perth, Western Australia.

They have a professional and compassionate team of staff and dedicated volunteers who provide quality, confidential  support and services to children, youth, adults and families who are caring for someone with a mental illness or individuals who are affected by a mental illness. To access Swan Centre services, you can obtain a referral from your GP, psychiatrist, paediatrician, or you can self-refer.

Swan Centre requires all clients with eating disorders to maintain regular contact with their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician for medical monitoring due to the inherent medical risks associated with an eating disorder. With your permission, we will also regularly communicate with your medical team to optimise your care.
